Bank of America may give your credit card number on the spot if you’re an existing customer, you apply for certain offers, and you get approved via the Bank of America mobile app. While you won’t get the physical card up front, you can add your instant credit card number to your digital wallet to begin making purchases.
Customers who are not approved for an instant credit card number will have to wait until the physical card arrives in the mail, which is usually within 10 business days, or request expedited shipping to get the card within three business days.
If you’re not a Bank of America customer, you can effectively get a new credit card on the spot by applying for a card online from American Express, Capital One, or another issuer that offers instant credit card numbers immediately upon approval.
