I figured that this would be the only AnueNue Moonbird I could ever afford to buy. All of the amazing descriptions of Moonbirds from others made me really want to try it.
Great decision. But I am totally biased.

Also, I have been sick at home for the past week with too much time on my hands (between coughing fits and naps) to haunt the forum and be tempted. My hubby better hope I recover soon
Prescriptions are expensive. This might be a good deal! May you feel much better by the time it arrives

Thank you @ookooleilei for selling me this gorgeous baby moon bird. I may regret it though. I like it so much I am starting to get designs on the other birds
I recovered enough from the pneumonia that I was able to enjoy playing it today. Unfortunately, I also recovered enough to work from home so I had better get back to that…

I am glad the moonbird had scratches on the top. The case top fell closed and just “bit” the top of the uke while I was taking it out (only three days after I got it). If this did not already have some scratches I would be so angry at myself for that new mark right now. As it is I am only really irritated

As my signature might suggest, I am okay with signs of having lived an interesting life . How is it to play?

My signature move is wacking them on doorframes while they are hanging suspended from straps around my neck.
Kinda like buying a used car. The first dings and scratches are already there. Now you can strum away with abandon!

I JUST did this the other day with my new cedar bird!! I was horrified! This is why I prefer buying used

It is wonderful to play and has incredible volume for a soprano. It is bright and chimes, but has really nice mids too. When I first got it my mind was blown by how beautiful, clean, and precise it looks and feels. It is hard to describe.
I keep a “Dream Uke” list of ukes I would like to try eventually and luthiers I may want to order a custom from someday. Playing this made me decide that I have to try a concert or tenor cedar bird some day and that went to the top of the list.

I whack them on my music stand while reaching for the eyeglasses that can actually read the music
